Joshua’s application shows he is a very ambitious young man. His leadership awards from his first year throughout his high school years. He seems to be on a fast pace to having successful college years. His essay is very well written, it was presented very well; it went beyond the short statement. I noticed his college year does not start until January 2018 and our requirements are you must have a letter showing you are enrolled. I suggest we wait to see his final proof of enrollment document with a class schedule to confirm he will be a student at Michigan State. Pending receipt of that document, I would recommend he be considered an award.

I concur with the proof of admission to MSU. Pending that I 100% support award.

I agree with awarding When all the requirements are met
Just a question of concern why didn't he start school
I was under the impression he was in school any clarification on this point concern

I have been corresponding with him and his actual start sate is in January. He said he will not get his class schedule until later this Month, I have requested he send in his proof of enrollment when he has it in hand.

I received his latest proof of enrollment which is included in his package. It is a document that states he is in a "AOP" Academic Orientation Program" . I do not want our committee to be viewed as giving this young man a hard time I vote we award him a scholarship.

I am in full support of Joshua receiving a Shurn scholarship award. I am confident that he will be successful and represent the family well. His application and demonstrated leadership are deserving of our support.
